Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks according to USDA and licensing guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Wash dishes and sanitize food preparation areas.
- Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation.
- Assist with inventory and stocking food and kitchen supplies.
- Follow all food safety and health regulations.
- Safely transport school-age children to and from local schools.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure children are properly secured and supervised during transportation.
- Maintain accurate transportation attendance and required documentation.
- Follow all DOT, state licensing, and LeafSpring safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with families and school staff.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required bus driver certifications (CDL preferred but training may be available for qualified candidates).
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check (CBC), health screening, and all state-required clearances.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
